FAQs
What is your process working with new artists or bands?
Our vision is to see your truth and prepare it for the world. We know art is subjective and the journey to making a creative work is as different as each individual working toward it. So we start with an interview! We discuss your artistic goals and what makes you and your work a unique vibe. Then we come up with a game plan to XLR8 (“accelerate”) your Vibe. Sometimes we share our strategy in the first call, but sometimes we need to plan it out and will have a follow-up call. Only when you are comfortable with our proposed process, we will schedule the first session.
How much do you typically charge?
We have different pricing for different projects, work-flows and daytime hours. We want to empower you to take advantage of our studio early in the day and produce impactful content quickly! We have minimum 2 hr, 3 hr, half-day & full-day blocks. Check our “Service Pricing & Scheduling Guide” for details.
How long does it take to record a song?
Recording a song can be very simple to very complex and nuanced. It all depends on the number of sound sources (instruments & voices) and the level of acoustic isolation and scrutiny desired. We are setup to produce quality stereo-tracked demos quickly but also have the ability to multi-track with isolation which takes longer. There is substantial preparation that goes into a session, so intake process is crucial to support a smooth session.
Do you have rehearsal space?
Yes! Our live room can be used as rehearsal space. Check out our very reasonable pricing for 2-hr sessions!
